As Vice President of Environment and Supply Chain Innovation at Apple, Sarah Chandler leads a team of passionate individuals who are responsible for upholding Apple’s values across its global supply chain. Over her 15 year tenure at the company, Sarah has helped create and implement significant global programs that put the people and the planet first.
Under her leadership, Sarah’s team has developed innovative solutions to support Apple’s commitments to be carbon neutral by 2030; made signifiant progress towards Apple’s goal of making all of its products using only recycled or renewable material; lead industry-leading research on material recovery and recycling; created new programs to ensure safe and healthy working environments where everyone is treated with dignity and respect, and much more.
On top of her role, Sarah is also the executive sponsor for Women in Operations at Apple.
Sarah joined Apple in 2006 and holds an M.B.A. and Bachelor of Science degree in Earth Systems, both from Stanford University. Prior to Apple, Sarah served as the Executive Director of a nonprofit providing environmental education and leadership experiences for low-income high school students. Sarah traces her deep connection to the environment to her childhood growing up on a farm in Massachusetts, and continues to pursue that passion through hiking and family adventures in their camper van. She also serves on the board of PACE, and sits on MIT’s Climate and Sustainability Consortium Industry Advisory Board.
