Rich Deming is the Senior Adviser, Leadership Team at the Global Climate Reward. After a career of developing energy projects using clean-energy-financial instruments, he recognized in the GCR a policy that actually has a chance of mitigating and reversing climate change--amid so much noise about it--and put his shoulder to the wheel. Rich currently advises the GCR on development, especially in relation to demonstrating the policy in a proof-of-concept project and on platforms necessary to fully implement it. Rich is also the CEO and co-founder of East Energy Renewables—an independent power producer with $110M worth of clean bioenergy facilities built and under construction, and green hydrogen production and fueling facilities under development. His career has mostly centered on solving the complexity of finance and public/private partnerships to move projects from "green idea" to functioning power plant.
