Randy Cieslak is the Chief Information Officer of the U.S. Pacific Command, headquartered at Camp Smith, Hawaii. He leads the progression and sustainment of Pacific Command’s information infrastructure. Mr. Cieslak is responsible for enabling mission accomplishment through information technology and knowledge management. He is a graduate of Purdue University and the University of Southern California with degrees in Industrial Engineering and Systems Management. Mr. Cieslak has over 37 years of experience in information technology for military organizations. He is a retired Captain in the U.S. Naval Reserve, a member of the Senior Executive Service, and has led several large Defense-related IT initiatives. Mr. Cieslak has been honored with many awards including the Department of the Navy’s I.T., I.M. and Cyberspace Person of the Year; the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association Person of the Year and Gold Medal for Engineering; and was listed several years in Federal Computer Week’s Top 100 I.T. professionals.
