Ramé Hemstreet is a key adviser to the senior vice president of facilities at Kaiser Permanente, one of America’s leading health care providers and not-for-profit health plans. He is responsible for integrating and coordinating all components of service delivery for NFS, including its multibillion dollar capital acquisition program, maintenance, and clinical technology at more than 1,000 hospitals, medical offices and other buildings; as well as management of a 78-million-square foot real estate portfolio. Hemstreet focuses on lifecycle facilities management, reducing total cost of ownership, utilizing diverse vendors and continuously improving the capabilities needed to successfully build and maintain the medical delivery infrastructure that provides health care to 11 million people. As chief sustainable resources officer, he oversees Kaiser Permanente’s energy and water strategy, which focuses on reducing energy and water intensity and pursuing green power opportunities to reduce operating costs and greenhouse gas emissions. He collaborates with stakeholders throughout Kaiser Permanente to reduce energy intensity, utility costs, and the company’s carbon footprint.
