Kirstin Miller is Executive Director of the San Francisco Bay Area-based nonprofit Ecocity Builders. For Ecocity, she supports city and regional initiatives developing ecologically healthy, low-carbon built environments. Kirstin specializes in catalyzing teams and tools for ecocity design and implementation that boost citizen participation and prioritize principles of urban ecology. She leads the International Ecocity Standards initiative, is an organizational member for the UN Environment Program’s Global Initiative for Resource Efficient Cities, and serves on the Technical Committee for the Guangzhou International Award for Urban Innovation. Kirstin helps facilitate the longest-running conference series on sustainable cities, Ecocity World Summit.
