Dane Parker currently serves as Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO) and Vice President, Sustainable Workplaces, at General Motors. As CSO he leads the company’s sustainability strategy, including the alignment of efforts toward GM’s vision of a world with zero emissions.
His organization ensures the responsible use, consumption and production of materials, and he leads GM’s efforts as a global advocate for environmentally sensitive manufacturing and renewable energy.
His other global responsibilities include facility design, engineering, construction and operations, energy procurement and efficiency, environmental compliance, real estate and workplace strategy.
Prior to GM, Dane was Vice President, Global Real Estate, Facilities and Environment, Health and Safety, for Dell, Inc. Dane also spent more than 13 years at Intel Corporation in the Technology and Manufacturing organization in a variety of operational roles.
Dane holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Brigham Young University (BYU), graduating valedictorian. He also holds an MBA from the BYU Marriott School of Business.
On a personal note, Dane enjoys outdoor activities with family, serving others and constantly learning.
