Christian Deseglise is Global Sponsor of Sustainable Finance and Global Head of Central Banks for HSBC. He is also a Non-Executive Director of HSBC in Egypt.
Christian Deseglise is Global Sponsor of Sustainable Finance and Global Head of Central Banks for HSBC. He is also a Non-Executive Director of HSBC in Egypt. Before this, he held various positions within HSBC, including Global Head of Emerging Markets and a member of the Executive Committee of HSBC Global Asset Management. Mr. Deseglise is a member of the One Planet Lab, a high level advisory group set up by President Macron to fuel future One Planet Summits with proposals to address challenges related to climate change. He is also a member of the WEF Global Future Council on Development Finance. Mr. Deseglise is also an Adjunct Professor at Columbia University’s SIPA, teaching on Green Finance and Emerging Markets, and the co-founder of Columbia University’s BRICLab. Christian has written “Le Défi des Pays Emergents: Une Chance pour la France”, which was published in France in April 2012, and numerous articles on Emerging Markets and Sustainable Finance. Christian is a Graduate from Sciences Po (Paris). He holds a Master’s degree in Spanish and Latin American Studies from La Sorbonne Nouvelle (Paris) and a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University in New York.
