Charlie Post is responsible for implementing PG&E’s energy storage program. Charlie’s main focus is the commercial activities associated with this program. Charlie began his career at PG&E in 2000, working in electric transmission rates. In 2004, just as the RPS requirements were being finalized, Charlie moved to Energy Procurement and managed its 2004 and 2005 RPS RFOs. Charlie remained in Energy Procurement until 2014, primarily negotiating RPS PPAs and evaluating potential ownership opportunities for PG&E. Charlie led negotiations for transactions with a combined value of over $3B; successfully closing deals negotiated over multiple years representing hundreds of MWs. In 2014, Charlie transitioned to the role of Energy Storage Program Manager and became 100% dedicated to Energy Storage.
