Carrie is a pioneer in innovation ecosystems. As an entrepreneur and intrapreneur, she has worked to forward the causes of sustainability and social innovation on a global stage. Carrie is the Managing Partner of SecondMuse, a global company focused on building economies of the future. Over the last decade, Secondmuse has built 48 thriving innovation communities from Brooklyn to Bali, accelerated over 200 businesses and generated $7bb in market value. In her role, Carrie is responsible for the overall performance of the B Corp Certified company with offices in New York, Washington DC, San Francisco, Portland, Melbourne, Singapore and Bali, and 300 clients and partners, including Fortune 100 companies, national and local governments, multilateral organizations and nonprofits. Prior to joining SecondMuse, Carrie spent 15 years at Intel in various management positions, her last role as Director of Sustainable Business Innovation. There, she pioneered strategies around a corporate impact investing fund and developing technology market solutions related to natural resources management and climate change. In 2009, Carrie formed the corporate sustainability group and directed corporate-wide efforts working with key stakeholders to ensure industry leadership. Carrie has had numerous advisory and board positions that span the for-profit, non-profit, public and philanthropic sectors. She regularly speaks globally on the roles of technology, sustainability, gender equality, innovation and corporate responsibility.
