Alexis Morgan is a global expert on water stewardship. He is WWF’s global lead for water stewardship and supports numerous Global 500 corporate partnerships on freshwater. In addition to overseeing WWF’s Water Risk Filter, a leading tool that users to explore, assess, value and respond to water risk, he has published extensively on freshwater in commodity standards & certification, the value of water, sustainability metrics, and water stewardship in general. 

Alexis helped to establish the Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS) - specifically leading the multistakeholder development of a global water stewardship standard now recognized by hundreds of members – and now sits on AWS’s board. He is also a past member of the International Social and Environmental Accreditation and Labelling (ISEAL) Alliance’s Stakeholder Council, a member of the United Nations Global Compact Expert Panel, sits on CDP Water’s Advisory Council and has helped shape revisions of the water aspects of other reporting and disclosure standards such as the Global Reporting Initiative and the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board.
