VERGE Transport Micromobility Workshop

How Micromobility Will Lead to More Sustainable, Livable Cities

LEARN MORE ABOUT REGISTRATION PASS OPTIONS FOR THIS WORKSHOP (INCLUDING THE $195 Micromobility WORKSHOP ONLY PASS) BELOW.

Register for this workshop

Thursday, October 24, 1:30pm to 4pm

The explosion of micromobility services, like shared e-bikes and e-scooters, in cities around the world is one of the most high-profile, and controversial, transportation trends of 2019. Well-funded scooter startups are battling it out for market share, ride-hailing players are looking to dominate and entrepreneurs are building brand new mobility tools.

But it’s actually cities who will be the key partner to micromobility companies as the public and private sectors will need to collaborate on issues like data sharing, data privacy, safety, liability, equity, accessibility, and sustainability. This workshop will create a productive dialogue between cities and the micromobility community and seek to remove barriers that are preventing a thoughtful approach to the deployment of micromobility services in order to create sustainable, livable cities.

What you can expect:

  • Interactive discussions and high-level networking focused on eliminating barriers, reaching goals and producing results

  • Inspiration around the emerging world of mobility and smart cities

  • Hands-on tools for how to build mobility services that are sustainable, equitable, and solutions-oriented.

  • Crucial connections with leaders

Attendees should be leaders in:

  • City transportation planning
  • Mobility services
  • Vehicle manufacturing
  • Transit management
  • Utility and grid services
  • Telematics, mapping and related services
