Call for Artists
Building a world that works for all begins with imagining what’s possible. That means asking big questions, engaging new voices and thinking outside the box.
VERGE 19, taking place at the Oakland Convention Center, Oct. 22-24, will attract more than 3,000 leaders, all primed for innovation and inspiration. We view it as a platform, from the main stage to VERGE Interconnect, our interactive technology showcase, for artists to bring the event’s themes to life. The event will feature four concurrent conferences, each focused on a dynamic and influential market driving the transition to a clean economy: VERGE Carbon, VERGE Circular, VERGE Energy and VERGE Transport.
Consider this: How can art installations help us better understand resilience or big data? How can we apply emerging technologies like machine learning, augmented reality and artificial intelligence to engage people in creating a more regenerative economy? How can the vision of a sustainable, socially equitable world be expressed through performance?

GreenBiz is excited to showcase the work of a select number of artists to illuminate, perhaps literally, the themes behind this groundbreaking event.
We are accepting nominations for works in three categories (see below), as they relate to the event’s focus: the role of technology in accelerating the clean economy. Even if you have an idea that doesn’t fit neatly into any of these categories, we’d still like to hear about it.
Please note that while GreenBiz will waive exhibitor fees, we have a limited budget and cannot commission new works. We prefer interactive and experiential pieces and have space on stage, inside and outside to feature them.
