GreenFin Summit
Aligning and Leveraging Capital Markets to
Drive the Global Economy Toward Sustainability
GreenFin Summit | February 3-4, 2020
Corporate reporting on environmental, social and governance (ESG) data has moved from the margins to the mainstream: It now sits squarely on Wall Street, where it is being factored into a growing number of investment managers’ portfolios, as well as the strategies of pension funds, university endowments and other large investors.
Increasingly, companies are being asked to integrate traditional financial reporting with consideration of ESG criteria such as climate change and human capital risk. As a result, sustainability executives are engaging in vital new dialogues with their internal colleagues in such mission-critical areas as investor relations, treasury and corporate governance and, in many cases, directly with major investors.
GreenBiz 20, the premier annual conference for sustainable business leaders, is hosting the second annual GreenFin Summit, aimed at bringing together a unique mix of stakeholders to align ESG reporting with what investors need to make risk-based asset-allocation decisions.
The GreenFin Summit follows a successful launch event in 2019. That invitation-only event brought together 100 corporate sustainability leaders, major public-sector pension fund executives and leading financial institutions, with over a trillion dollars of combined assets under management. The discussion broached vital topics in ESG that will be expanded upon at the 2020 Summit.
Agenda
The Summit will begin early afternoon on Monday, February 3, and run through lunch on Tuesday, February 4. The Summit, in which participation is by invitation only, will convene about 200 leaders, including executives from major corporations, pension funds and other institutional investors, investment banks, asset managers and ratings agencies.
