
Amberjae Freeman
Amberjae is Etho Capital's board Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, where she works with the executive team and board to shape strategy and execute on the company’s vision. Amberjae also serves on the Board of Directors of The Forum for Sustainable and Responsible Investment (USSIF)
Prior to joining Etho Capital, Amberjae served as Portfolio Manager for Swell Investing and as the principal analyst for the SRI Wealth Management Group at Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), where she provided proprietary ESG and impact research for clients representing $2 billion in assets under management. Amberjae’s career in sustainable finance began over a decade ago when she received dual fellowships with the Clinton Global Initiative in New York City and the Clinton Hunter Development Initiative in Kigali, Rwanda. Amberjae has also served as an adjunct professor of Political Science and Economics at Santa Barbara City College and coordinated country-specific research for asylum cases at the Center for Gender & Refugee Studies at the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. Amberjae holds a bachelor’s degree and an MA in Global & International Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
