As Director of Origination at NextEra Energy Resources, Ittay Arad leads the origination efforts of the Distributed Generation team.  The DG team helps organizations across all sectors meet their energy and sustainability goals by implementing distributed energy solutions, including onsite and community solar, energy storage, cogeneration, microgrids, and water reclamation.  Ittay’s team also works across the NextEra enterprise, to develop holistic decarbonization strategies by integrating DG with other solutions, including grid-scale wind and solar, EV charging and fleet electrification, green hydrogen, wholesale and retail supply, renewable energy credits and renewable fuels.

Before joining NextEra, Ittay was Vice President of ­Business Development at Greenskies Renewable Energy, a developer specializing in onsite solar.  Prior to that, Ittay was the Director of Business Development at Yingli Green Energy Americas, one of the world’s largest PV module manufacturers.  Before he began his career in renewable energy, Ittay spent over ten years working in the film industry. During this time, he developed numerous feature films while working at several companies, including Imagine Entertainment and Sony Pictures Classics. 

Ittay holds a B.S. in Business Management and Applied Economics from Cornell University and a Master’s degree in Environmental Science and Management from the Bren School at UC Santa Barbara.
