
Dr. Sanjiv K. Sinha
Dr. Sanjiv Sinha is the Chief Sustainability Officer and a Senior Vice President at Environmental Consulting & Technology, Inc. (ECT), an employee-owned, multidisciplinary engineering consulting firm that maintains 22 offices across the country.
A frequent presenter on topics related to climate resilience impacts and economic instruments within the infrastructure market that address social inequity, he aspires to make these ideas mainstream. Currently, he manages a Great Lakes basin wide resilience initiative called Resilient Infrastructure Sustainability Communities (RISC) and is credited with helping initiate two of the largest investments in green stormwater infrastructure across the nation (an upcoming $55 Million environmental impact bond for Buffalo Sewer Authority, and a $20 Million community-based partnership for Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District). RISC is comprised of prominent global and regional thinktanks that include CDP (New York City & London), The Delta Institute (Chicago), Center for Neighborhood Technology (Chicago), American Association for Adaptation Professionals (Ann Arbor area) , Human Impact + Profit Impact (San Francisco), among others.
Aside from his full-time employment at ECT, in 2020-2021, Dr. Sinha serves as the vice chairman of the Board of Directors of Delta Institute, a nonprofit based in Chicago that focuses on building resilient environment and economy through sustainable solutions; and as an advisor to the WaterWorks Fund, an equity crowdfunding start-up that is focused on meeting water infrastructure/technology financing needs across the United States.
