Patrick Bultema
Patrick Bultema is CEO, Chairman and founder of FoodMaven. Bultema is an experienced venture-backed CEO, widely recognized as a company and industry maker. He has served on the board of directors of over twenty startups, and has worked in three venture capital firms. With FoodMaven, Bultema is known for bringing leadership and innovation to the multi-trillion dollar US food system, a system that loses hundreds of billions of dollars annually in food that ultimately ends up as waste. What’s more, FoodMaven balances for-profit economics, with highly leveraged social impact outcomes. In short, FoodMaven is on a mission to make sure all food is used … with good purpose, with positive impacts for food, profits, hungry people, and the planet. As a result, Patrick is an expert speaker on reinventing our food system and the future of social impact investing, and has been featured in major events and publications, including Fortune Magazine, Forbes, WSJ, and TED. Most importantly, Bultema is passionate about making things better for those who grow and make our food. His family still runs the farm he grew up on, so it pains him to know how much food is thrown away that farmers and ranchers worked so hard to produce. With a Master of Divinity from Princeton, Bultema has a philosophy of stewardship towards our planet and its inhabitants.
