
Sahar Shirazi
Sahar Shirazi is a policy and planning expert with experience working with governments, planning organizations, and various stakeholders to enhance transportation policies. She joined WSP from California Governor Jerry Brown’s Office of Planning and Research (OPR), where she served as a lead on the General Plan Guidelines for cities and counties across the state, autonomous vehicle policy and its integration into connecting areas, such as electrification, and transportation equity issues. Ms. Shirazi also served as a policy analyst at the US Department of Transportation, where she focused largely on transit and multimodal policy and grants, and the potential for co-benefits from improved planning and programming. Throughout her work with various academic, local government, and stakeholder collaboratives, Ms. Shirazi has focused on aligning public and private goals to improve and enhance the overall mobility system, witha focus on the environmental, economic, and equity implications.
