Neal Bartek is the Project Director - Microgrids for OpTerra Energy Solutions, a position that allows him the opportunity to work with industry leading clients to create microgrid solutions. Prior to joining OpTerra, Neal spent 18 years in the electric utility industry, most recently as the Distributed Energy Resources (DER) Manager for San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) where he led the Borrego Springs Microgrid project and the research, development and deployment of energy storage. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Operations Research & Industrial Engineering from Cornell University.
